The homeowners wanted a dedicated media room tucked away from the main living space to maintain a peaceful atmosphere inside the house. We began with a 16' x 23' addition and paired it with a 12' x 20' deck featuring a drop-in hot tub for the ultimate indoor-outdoor retreat. By designing a flat roof structure, we were also able to add a 16' x 23' rooftop deck—offering a quiet, elevated escape right outside their door.

To enhance privacy and functionality in the backyard, we installed a natural cedar fence with a private motorized drive gate, seamlessly blending form and function.

Inside the new media room, comfort and craftsmanship take center stage. Heated herringbone brick floors add warmth underfoot, while a gas fireplace and ceiling-mounted mini-split ensure year-round comfort. The fireplace is a true focal point, featuring hand-painted Zia tile, a walnut mantel, and custom-built bookshelves topped with stained wood.

As you head out to the deck, a custom bench with integrated shoe cabinets offers practical storage in the new mudroom. Across from it, an accent wall with Cole & Son wallpaper brings an elegant, Italian-inspired flair that beautifully complements the brick flooring.
